What is TakeRoot?
If you’ve identified RoseVilla as a potential community for your future planning, then that probably means you’ve heard that we do waitlists a little differently. This is why one of the most common questions that we hear from prospective Future Residents is, “how does the TakeRoot program work?”
TakeRoot is RoseVilla’s approach to helping Future Residents plan ahead with greater clarity and confidence. Rather than joining a traditional waitlist and waiting for a call, our engagement program offers you the opportunity to get involved with the community, building relationships and preparing for your next chapter with ease.
Because every person’s timeline and goals are unique, TakeRoot is designed to provide flexibility while helping Future Residents stay connected to life at RoseVilla. Whether you’re ready to be next in line or you see yourself calling us home further down the road, TakeRoot creates a pathway to confident residency before move-in day.
Three Levels, One Path
One of the things that makes TakeRoot unique is that it recognizes that not everyone is at the same stage in their future planning. That’s why TakeRoot is built around three levels of participation: Informed, Connected, and Committed. Each tier is designed to meet Future Residents where they are today while providing a clear pathway toward life at RoseVilla.
Informed
Stay Looped in; Plan for the Future
The Informed tier is ideal for Future Residents who are focused on long-term planning. Members receive digital updates about RoseVilla, and opportunities to stay up-to-date about community development and opportunities to move forward.
With a participation fee of $3,000, the Informed tier is a flexible starting point for those who want to get in the queue without a specific move timeline in mind.
Connected
Build Relationships; Spend Time on Campus
For Future Residents who are ready to become more involved, the Connected tier provides opportunities to spend time on campus and develop meaningful relationships within the community.
Connected members receive special event invitations, access to open houses, limited use of Wellness amenities, 10% dining discounts, and more. This tier’s goal is to help you build familiarity with our community and services while confirming that RoseVilla is your community of choice.
This tier requires a participation fee of $6,000 and is designed for the Future Resident that wants to deepen their engagement and begin to picture themselves as part of the RoseVilla community.
Committed
Prepare for Your Move with Confidence
The Committed tier is designed for Future Residents who are actively planning a move to RoseVilla within the next 90 days to 3 years.
Committed tier members have identified RoseVilla as their community of choice, and therefore, enjoy the highest level of engagement with the community. This includes unrestricted access to campus amenities, wellbeing programming through HealthyLifetime, and priority access to available homes. We like to say that these folks are just Residents who don’t live here yet!
Depending on residence preferences, Committed participation fees range from $20,000 to $90,000 and are applied to your entrance fee at move-in.
Committed Membership Options
| Membership Type | Participation fee | Best For |
| Committed Classic | $20,000 | Future Residents interested exclusively in a Classic Cottage. |
| Committed Choice | $75,000 | Future Residents interested in specific neighborhoods excluding Classic Cottages |
| Committed Community | $90,000 | Future Residents open to any of RoseVilla’s nine neighborhoods. |
As you progress through TakeRoot, participation fees move with you, and are ultimately applied toward your entrance fee at move in, creating a clear and intentional path from your first inquiry to your first night in your new home.
Which TakeRoot Level is Right for You?
Informed
If RoseVilla is on your radar but you’re still looking ahead to the future, the Informed tier may be the right place to start.
Many Informed members are in the early stages of planning and just want to get in the queue and stay connected. You’ll maintain your place in line while exploring at your own pace, without feeling pressure to make immediate decisions.
Connected
The Connected tier is perfect for the Future Resident that is beginning to seriously think about their move, and has identified RoseVilla as their community of choice.
If you’re starting to downsize, and daydreaming about your next chapter, the Connected tier provides opportunities to connect with RoseVilla life, especially if you’re ready to move in under 5 year’s time.
Committed
This tier is designed for Future Residents who are on a dedicated path to residency at RoseVilla and are actively preparing for a move in the near future.
In addition to enjoying the highest level of engagement with the community, Committed members are typically preparing for a move within the next 6–24 months. This tier is less about waiting and more about personal move readiness. Committed members receive notifications about available homes at RoseVilla.
Why Engagement Matters
At RoseVilla, we believe that planning for a future move involves more than selecting a home. It’s also about building familiarity, confidence, and connections within our community. That’s why engagement is at the heart of the TakeRoot program.
As Future Residents spend more time engaging with the community, they gain a clearer picture of what life at RoseVilla looks like. Familiar faces become friends, and routines become comfortable. This is how the idea of a future move begins to feel less like a major life change and more like a natural next step.
For our Committed members, we enhance that experience through the R.O.O.T.E.D Champions program. R.O.O.T.E.D (Resident Outreach Offering Togetherness, Enthusiasm & Direction) pairs Future Residents with Resident volunteers who help introduce them to community life, answer questions, and provide support throughout the entire transition.
By the time Future Residents move into their new home, they’ve already become part of the community. TakeRoot isn’t your traditional waitlist, it’s designed to help you feel at home long before move-in day.
Choosing the Right Home at RoseVilla
With nine distinct neighborhoods and more than 260 floorplans, RoseVilla offers a wide variety of living options. From the historic charm of our Classic Cottages to modern apartment homes, sustainable neighborhoods, and loft-style residences, Future Residents have the opportunity to find a home that aligns with their lifestyle and preferences.
While Future Residents can begin exploring RoseVilla’s neighborhoods at any time, home preferences formally become part of the process once a member enters the Committed tier.
Because every Future Resident is looking for something different, home preferences play an important role within this tier. Some members know exactly what they’re looking for, while others are open to a wider range of possibilities.
In general, greater flexibility can create more opportunities. Future Residents who are open to multiple neighborhoods and home styles will have more options available to them over time than those waiting for a single floorplan or location.
Announcements for existing homes, as well as future development always begins with the Committed tier and is offered sequentially throughout the TakeRoot program.
How It Works
You might ask how opportunities become available within TakeRoot.
On the first of each month, the Informed and Connected tiers are notified of opportunities to move to the next level of TakeRoot. Those who wish to move forward are encouraged to express their interest, and priority is given to the most tenured member within that tier.
The same idea applies to the Committed tier. When a home becomes available, all Committed members are notified, regardless of their preferences, and are invited to explore the opportunity to determine whether the available home fits their needs.
Because every Committed tier member has identified specific home preferences, priority is first given to the most tenured member whose preferences match the available residence. If that member chooses not to move forward, the opportunity may be offered to other interested Committed members.
This process helps ensure that opportunities are distributed fairly while still allowing Future Residents the flexibility to choose the home that’s right for them.
Preparing for a Successful Transition
One of the greatest advantages of planning ahead is having time to make important decisions before there’s urgency.
For many Future Residents, joining TakeRoot provides an opportunity to begin thinking about things like downsizing and financial planning as they prepare for their next chapter. By exploring these topics early, many people find that the eventual transition to RoseVilla feels less stressful.
One thing we hear often from Residents is that they wish they had made the move sooner. Rather than waiting until a major life event forces a decision, many families find comfort in creating a plan well before they need one.
TakeRoot is designed to support that process, giving Future Residents the time, information, and connection they need to move forward when the moment feels right.
