Growing in Generosity

RoseVilla Foundation

In the early 1960s, RoseVilla Residents established the RoseVilla Foundation and began a tradition of generosity. Even before there was any need for it, they chose to make a safety-net promise to each other and to future Residents: that those who might outlive their resources through no fault of their own could remain as valued members in the community they had long called home. Well before there was any need for it, they donated and named the Foundation in their estate plans. Today, thanks to generous volunteers and donations from Residents, Future Residents, Team Members, and friends, family and other supporters, the RoseVilla Foundation promise continues.

Volunteer-Driven Fundraising

The Treasure House Resale Shop

Purchases and donated goods at RoseVilla’s Treasure House Resale Shop help to support RoseVilla Foundation’s mission, and unsold items benefit other area charities. Some 50 volunteers operate RoseVilla’s longest-running Resident-driven fundraiser, helping put several tons of household items back to good use in new homes.

Tuesday Market on the RoseVilla campus in the summer months features home grown fruits and vegetables, fresh flowers, homemade baked goods, and handmade craft items. Run by RoseVilla Resident gardeners, bakers and volunteers, all proceeds benefit the RoseVilla Foundation.

What difference can a can make? Volunteers collect and redeem more than 30,000 cans and bottles every year from the RoseVilla campus for your Foundation!

RoseVilla Residents share art, crafts, and services like mending and knife sharpening, donating the proceeds to the Foundation throughout the year. RoseVilla’s corner store space on Main St. comes alive for the holidays with the Pop-Up Shops with giftable goods made and sold by dozens of Residents and Team Members.
