Our partnership with you means we do this thing called life–together. Starting with your individual home, we will work with you to make it feel comfortable and personalized. We’ve designed RoseVilla (physically and philosophically) to support the life you want to live, whatever that may be.

Resident's Association

RESIDENCY AT ROSEVILLA PROVIDES MEMBERSHIP TO THE RESIDENT’S ASSOCIATION

The RoseVilla Residents’ Association promotes an atmosphere of collaboration to ensure the social, spiritual, cultural, recreational, and environmental wellbeing of the whole community. An elected council provides a representative framework for residents to discuss ideas, areas of concern, and participate in decision making that supports the lifestyles of all residents.

The Council Chair, Vice Chair, Immediate Past Chair, and nine Councilors manage the affairs of the Association. The Councilors support groups and activities of specific interest to members of the Association. Each Councilor is also responsible for a particular theme.

The Council encourages all residents to participate in resident groups and activities, as they choose.

We believe in creating an environment that acknowledges and welcomes everyone. RoseVilla has a strong, diverse resident and staff population who help inform much of Rose Villa’s work on DEIA initiatives.

Mission Statement: The RoseVilla DEIA Coordinating Committee is charged with creating a welcoming environment for residents, staff, and community members. The Committee consists of residents, staff, and board members who represent all facets of RoseVilla. We seek to foster a community culture that is curious, respectful, and accepting. We acknowledge that by respectfully sharing our differences of opinion and ideas, we build a stronger, more creative, and inclusive place to live, work, and play.

Purpose Statement: The purpose of the DEIA Coordinating Committee is to guide Rose Villa to integrate diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in all aspects of its work. The Committee pledges to provide continuing education and opportunities to reinforce and uphold these values.

RoseVilla Land Acknowledgement

RoseVilla recognizes that our community stands on the ancestral lands of the Clackamas Chinookan people of the Willamette waterway, who, after forced removal, became part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde under the Willamette Valley Treaty, 1855. We honor them, and the environment that has been their home for many thousands of years. We respect their cultures and their deep knowledge of how to live with the natural world. We recognize the resilience of these people, past and present. Today, they continue to maintain strong connections to their ancestral homelands. We commit ourselves to learning more about our American Indian neighbors and building meaningful relationships with them. We expect this statement to change and grow as we learn more.

Rosebud is an intergenerational preschool located on RoseVilla’s campus. Rather than follow rigid curriculum, activities and projects are dictated by children’s naturally evolving interests.

Even if you may not move to RoseVilla for several years, you can begin enjoying your good life now as a member of Take Root – a special program for people planning for their retirement in advance. Once you decide on RoseVilla as your future home and complete the application, you can immediately access these amenities. Welcome to the neighborhood!

There are three levels to Take Root membership. Depending on your level of membership, these can include:

  • Community Engagement: Take Root members receive personalized RoseVilla name badges to wear when visiting campus. Wear your name badge to the special events, activities, and programs you will be invited to as a member.

  • Wellness Participation: As a member you can receive access to RiverPoint Wellness Center. Members can also receive a complimentary personal fitness assessment with RoseVilla’s Wellness Director and two complimentary fitness classes and aquatic passes per person/per month.

  • Information Access: In addition to receiving our community newsletter and annual report, members have access to Touchtown, our online resident information portal. This portal gives you access to the community calendar, Residents’ Association Council information, restaurant menus and hours, RoseVilla News, and more!

Sustainability In Action

We’re passionate investors in the human condition, both inside and outside our community. That’s why RoseVilla fosters a sustainable environment and culture that treads lightly on the earth, starting with our corner of it. This includes a commitment to eco-friendly design. We are proud to offer two Zero Energy Independent Living neighborhoods, The Oaks and Trillium Townhomes. These homes are built to Passive House standards, a designation that signifies that the homes produce enough energy to offset their energy use over the course of a year.

Our investment goes far beyond just sustainability, though. We invest in the long-term success of our community through what we call the Flourish Project.

Socially Responsible

From our innovative greywater reclamation and water conservation system, to our comprehensive campus-wide composting and recycling programs, we strive to incorporate ecologically sound and socially responsible practices into everything we do. We are committed to maintaining a sustainable community for everyone who lives, works and visits here!

Community Garden

Overlooking the Willamette River, our two-acre community garden is divided into 91 plots of varying sizes, providing ample space to grow your own fruits, vegetables, and flowers.

During warmer weather months, our Residents host a weekly Tuesday Market to share the excess yield with RoseVilla Residents, Team Members, and the greater community. All proceeds from Tuesday Markets benefit the RoseVilla Foundation.

RoseVilla Green Team

The RoseVilla Green Team is a Resident-run group that provides leadership and collaboration in order to promote policies and programs that address the impacts of climate change and contribute to the institutional resilience of our community.

Board of Directors

The RoseVilla Board of Directors consists of individuals with diverse professional backgrounds. It also includes the chair of the Residents’ Association Council (RAC) as a full voting member. The Board establishes policies that govern the community, as well as hires and oversees RoseVilla’s CEO, who is responsible for carrying out RoseVilla’s mission and vision both now and into the future.

RoseVilla is a nonprofit, single-site Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), also known as a Life Plan Community. We have been breaking the mold of traditional senior living since we were founded in 1960, with no signs of slowing. Glen Lewis

Glen Lewis serves as CEO, advancing RoseVilla’s mission to champion the power of community through people, purpose, and possibility, creating an inclusive space where ALL can belong and thrive.

With more than 20 years of leadership experience in senior living and hospitality, Glen inspires a culture where innovation, compassion, and service excellence intersect. Glen’s vision embraces the evolving needs of senior living, shaping vibrant, forward-thinking environments where Residents thrive, Team Members grow, and the greater community flourishes. 

Since joining RoseVilla in 2024, Glen has spearheaded the development of RoseVilla’s Strategic Plan, 25-year resiliency and sustainability action plans, advanced organizational DEIA priorities, and guided the organization to recognition as #1 Healthiest Employer, 100 Best Nonprofits, and 100 Best Green Workplaces. His commitment to building environments that promote health, purpose, and environmental stewardship led RoseVilla to build the PNW’s first solar-powered, climate-resilient hub designed specifically for a senior living community.

Prior to joining RoseVilla, Glen served as Executive Director at Edgewater, a WesleyLife community in Des Moines, where he led major campus renewal projects and expanded organizational wellness programs. In 2025, Senior Housing News named Glen a Changemaker for his innovative leadership and contributions to the senior living industry.

Kristina DeLisle

Kristina DeLisle serves as Chief Financial Officer, overseeing RoseVilla’s financial controls, bond relations, risk management, and investment strategies. She plays a pivotal role in guiding and implementing RoseVilla’s strategic plan and priorities.

With more than 20 years of leadership experience across senior living, in-home care, healthcare, and nonprofit sectors, Kristina brings a breadth of expertise to her work. She previously co-founded a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to private college education for individuals who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Since joining RoseVilla, she has advanced through several key roles, contributing to the organization’s growth and success.

Known for her disciplined approach to financial stewardship and her focus on strengthening systems and processes, Kristina has been instrumental in supporting RoseVilla’s long-term stability. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration and an MBA with a concentration in healthcare, combining strategic insight with a commitment to mission-driven work in her role as CFO.

Norine Mulry

Norine Mulry serves as Chief Operating Officer, providing focused leadership for daily operations that keep RoseVilla’s campus running smoothly, sustainably, and aligned with it’s strategic vision.

Norine brings more 15 years of leadership experience in hospitality, food service, and operations to her role. She joined RoseVilla in 2015 and spent nearly a decade as Director of Food and Beverage, overseeing two restaurants, catering operations, and dining in Madrona Grove Supportive Living. During that time, she led a team of more than 40 Food & Beverage professionals, managed operating budgets, and guided the department through multiple phases of campus redevelopment.

Norine’s leadership is rooted in a strong commitment to service and operational excellence. She is known for fostering collaborative teams, maintaining high quality standards, and aligning daily operations with RoseVilla’s mission. Her background in culinary management and retail operations further informs her hospitality-centered approach.

Alexis Anderson

As RoseVilla’s VP of Philanthropy, Alexis also serves as the executive director of the RoseVilla Foundation and brings a passion for celebrating and elevating philanthropy in all its many forms. With more than 15 years of progressive achievement in nonprofit leadership and acceleration of fundraising growth through connective and resonant engagement, she is excited to empower expansive philanthropy in a community with a tradition of neighbor-to-neighbor generosity at its heart.

Jim Willeford

Jim Willeford serves as VP of Development, overseeing the planning, design, and execution of campus projects and strategic developments. Jim plays a key role in advancing priorities outlined in RoseVilla’s strategic plan, ensuring that development initiatives align with long-term goals and enhance living environments.

With more than 30 years of experience in project and program management, Jim has dedicated his career to building and optimizing environments that support people and progress. His leadership journey has spanned complex infrastructure projects in public and private sectors, including directing the Oregon Military Department’s design and construction programs. 

With a deep commitment to sustainability and resiliency, Jim helps drive the continued evolution of RoseVilla’s campus, meeting the needs of today while laying the foundation for a thriving future. Through strategic planning, innovation, and community-driven development, Jim is dedicated to strengthening and expanding RoseVilla’s legacy as a forward-thinking, sustainable, and resilient community.

Michelle LaCroix

Michelle LaCroix serves as the VP of Human Resources, where she advances RoseVilla’s people-first vision by cultivating a culture in which individuals thrive, leaders grow, and the community’s mission is brought to life through it’s Team Members. 

Michelle brings extensive experience in the nonprofit sector and has dedicated her career to supporting organizations that serve their communities. Michelle brings expertise strategic HR initiatives, organizational design, and culture-building programs that strengthen teams and organizations. Since joining RoseVilla, Michelle has held several roles, gaining a breadth of experience before stepping into her current position as VP of Human Resources. 

At the heart of her work is a passion for supporting others in achieving their goals—whether personal, departmental, or organizational. She thrives in offering guidance, encouragement, and celebrating achievements both large and small. For Michelle, supporting growth and fostering success is a privilege she cherishes, inspired by the mentors who shaped her own journey and now reflected in the support she provides to others.

Dr. Javan Nelson

Dr. Javan Nelson, DHA, MHA, LNHA, serves as Health Services Administrator where he oversees clinical operations across RoseVilla’s Health Services including Madrona Grove Supportive Living, The Clinic, and Avencia Home Care. He is responsible for regulatory compliance, interdisciplinary care integration, quality assurance, and strategic planning across the continuum of care.

Dr. Nelson previously served as a Campus Administrator and Nursing Home Administrator, where he improved a skilled nursing facility’s CMS rating from two to five stars and led initiatives that strengthened quality outcomes, financial performance, and occupancy growth. His leadership experience spans payment reform, organizational performance improvement, and system-wide quality management.

He holds a Doctor of Health Administration from A.T. Still University and a Masters of Health Administration from the University of Central Florida. His research and published scholarship focus on long-term care performance, health plans, and care coordination.

René Swar

René Swar serves as Wellness Director, overseeing RoseVilla’s holistic and longevity-focused wellbeing programming. René holds a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Physical Education and Health. She has more than 40 years of experience in the fitness industry and is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and Senior Strength & Specialty Coach.

René serves as Chair of the Portland Community Exercise Science Advisory Committee, where she contributes her expertise to advancing education and professional standards in the field. She is passionate about helping individuals make fitness a sustainable and enjoyable part of their lifestyle, empowering people of all ages to prioritize wellbeing, strength, and vitality.

Molly Watts

Molly Watts serves as Director of Sales, where she leads the development and execution of strategic sales initiatives, drives revenue growth, and oversees the Sales Team. She plays a key role in shaping the prospect experience and manages the robust TakeRoot Future Resident Program, fostering meaningful connections and engagement with Future Residents as they explore life at RoseVilla.

Molly brings more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience to her role. A proud graduate of the University of Oregon, she brings equal passion for both seniors and the consultative sales process. From pharmaceuticals to advertising, and even group travel, Molly has a track record of sales success that is built on product expertise and the ability to build meaningful relationships with clients. 

Molly’s passion for optimistic aging and building habits of longevity lead her to RoseVilla in 2019. Hired to lead sales initiatives for new development, she exceeded expectations with the project being fully sold one year before completion and during a global pandemic. In 2025, Molly helped reimagine RoseVilla’s Future Resident Club and successfully launched TakeRoot.

Kenzie Williams

Kenzie Williams serves as Director of Communications & Marketing, overseeing RoseVilla’s brand, integrated marketing strategy, corporate communications, and the Marketing & Communications Team. Kenzie works to advance RoseVilla’s mission through authentic, values-driven communications that support the organization’s long-term vision. 

Kenzie is passionate about sharing the voices and experiences that make RoseVilla unique, helping create a sense of belonging while highlighting RoseVilla as a forward-thinking voice in senior living. With expertise in design, digital marketing, storytelling, and executive communications, she drives initiatives that strengthen brand awareness, expand visibility, and deepen community engagement.

Kenzie holds degrees in both Communications and Political Science, bringing a strong sense of social justice and purpose to her work and perspective on the senior living industry. She is passionate about nonprofit service and sits on the board of SAGE: Senior Advocates for Generational Equity, where she helps advance its mission of inspiring older adults to give forward, for future generations to thrive.

Rick Hamell

Rick Hamell serves as Director of Information Technology, where he leads technology strategy, infrastructure, and service delivery in support of the organization’s mission and community operations. He brings extensive experience in IT leadership and project management, with a background spanning senior living, utilities, and enterprise technology environments. Rick has led complex technology initiatives focused on improving operational efficiency, reliability, and user experience.

He holds multiple professional certifications in project management, leadership, process improvement, and CyberSecurity. At RoseVilla, Rick focuses on aligning technology investments with organizational goals, strengthening cybersecurity and systems reliability, and empowering his Team through practical, people‑centered technology solutions.

Marty Bracken

Marty Bracken serves as Director of Food & Beverage, overseeing RoseVilla’s restaurants, kitchens, and robust Food & Beverage Team. She has spent more than 35 years in the Food & Beverage industry, including a decade owning and operating her own restaurants. Through these experiences, she learned that great organizations are built the same way great kitchens are—through building strong Teams, paying attention to the details, and being willing to fix what isn’t working.

A graduate of Oregon State University, and a nearly lifelong West Coast resident, Marty brings experience, practicality, and integrity to her Teams. She has earned a reputation for noticing what others might miss, strengthening Teams, and creating systems that drive improvement. Marty has built a strong Food & Beverage Team, made up of individuals that shine every day, and embody the belief that food is comfort, community, and medicine.

Kent Liebelt

Kent Liebelt serves as Director of Facilities. He is an experienced facilities leader with a strong background in Healthcare and Senior Living operations. Kent brings a practical, service-focused approach to managing complex environments where safety, reliability, and quality of care are essential. He spent much of his career in Healthcare Facility Operations, developing deep expertise in Building Systems, Regulatory Compliance, and Operational efficiency. Most recently, he applied this experience within the Senior Living sector, where maintaining comfortable, well-functioning, sustainable environments directly supports Resident’s well-being and quality of life.

Known for his commitment to service excellence, Kent is passionate about building and leading Teams that take pride in their work and consistently deliver high standards of support. He emphasizes accountability, proactive maintenance, and collaboration with all stakeholder partners to ensure facilities operate smoothly and safely. Kent holds an MBA in Business Management, complementing his operational experience with strong strategic and leadership skills.

Alexander Harris

“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” For Alexander, Maya Angelou’s words are more than a quote; they are the blueprint for his career. As Director of Resident Experience, he believes that true hospitality isn’t just about a smooth process or a well-managed floor. It’s about the emotional residue we leave behind.

His journey began in the high-energy restaurant world of Chicago before transitioning into leadership with premium hotel collections across Illinois, California, and Oregon. As a former Assistant General Manager and Guest Experience Manager, Alexander mastered the art of “high touch” service, the kind that anticipates a need before it’s even whispered. But it’s his heart for advocacy that truly defines his approach. Alexander also developed life-enriching programs for adults with intellectual disabilities. That experience shifted his perspective forever. It taught him that every individual deserves to be seen, heard, and celebrated with dignity.

Today, Alexander blends his executive hospitality expertise with a deep-seated commitment to inclusive community building. He doesn’t just manage an environment; he curates a home where every Resident feels like the most important person in the room.

For me, leadership means creating an environment where Team Members feel empowered to think creatively, problem-solve with compassion, and go the extra mile for our Residents. I truly enjoy working with a Team that shares this mindset, because it fosters collaboration, positivity, and a sense of purpose. When we approach challenges with a “what if we could?” attitude, we open the door to meaningful connections, better experiences for our Residents, and a stronger, more connected community overall.”

Skyler Pestle

Skyler Pestle (she/they) serves as the Director of Rosebud Preschool, RoseVilla’s intergenerational, play-based preschool. Skyler has been teaching and designing early childhood programs in Portland since 2016. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and a Master’s degree in Leadership for Sustainability Education. Beth Cooper serves as the Executive Assistant to the CEO, where she plays an integral role in supporting executive leadership, coordinating key initiatives, and advancing organizational priorities. She brings a diverse professional background to her role, including experience as an operations manager and as a middle school health and physical education teacher. These roles have shaped her ability to balance structure with adaptability, manage complex workflows, and foster positive, collaborative environments.

Beth holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health Education and a Master’s degree in Teaching. Her professional background reflects a strong commitment to organization, collaboration, and supporting people and teams in meaningful ways.
